Dear Wandering Spirit,

My husband and I got to know each other in 2006 and we are happily together since then. Many friends and acquaintances keep asking me, ‘Wow! You two have such a successful long-term relationship! What is your secret?’. 🧐

Keep reading and discover why travels and relationship can be compared with each other!

Does the Perfect Relationship Exist?

You know the answer. Surely not! Is it always easy with my partner? We all know it is not true!

It is basically hard work (and a bit of luck!), as it requires discipline, engagement, and much self-reflection. Having said that, I like comparing successful relationships with travels.

Travelling with your partner

is not meant to be easy,

but very enlightening.

You build trust in each other, you learn to compromise, you support each other in the highs and lows of any trip. You learn how to manage a successful, long-term relationship while you are travelling together. 💑

On one side you enjoy your trip and collect your personal travel memories; on the other side you make the time to sit down and tell each other how the daily adventure was.

Once Upon a Time and Happily Ever After

Mr and Mrs riccivagabondi met almost fifteen years ago. Looking back at 2006, they had completely different life paths. 🧶

He was a young man going to university during the day and working to earn a living at night. He had his friends, his hobbies, his dreams. She was a young girl still attending the high school, with few friends, many hobbies, and big dreams.

She dreamt of travelling the world since then, he did not think he would join her journey. Fifteen years later, Mr and Mrs riccivagabondi are happily married adults, and keep travelling together ever since. 🙌

Our Past and Future Travels

We lived incredible moments abroad and I am sure we will keep doing that. We still love exploring new places and cultures and we will keep travelling to new places.

For the very first time we travelled outside Europe together. What a tremendous memory!

There are so many travel destinations on our bucket list! Are you curious about that? Check out here.

Happy Birthday Mr Riccivagabondi

Spoiler alert: Sentimental, melo-dramatic and cheesy content! 🧸

13th July is Mr riccivagabondi name day. Happy birthday to the best travel companion ever! His dream of slow travelling all South-East Asian countries is my dream too now.

Therefore, we will manage to do this at its best. We will find the time for that; we will embark on this adventure, and we will collect the best travel and life memories ever. This I promise.
